I've seen them at Toys R Us (newer ones) in the kitchen playsets section, as well as at TJ Maxx now and then. I've never seen pretend cast iron, though.

I have some pretend cast iron. they actually are plastic but look just like it! Sooo they are out there. We got ours from my mother, she picked them up in a thrift store so I have nooooooo idea where you would find it.

I got a really cute "stainless steel" set at Toys-R-US last November, there is a skillet with a lid, a saucepan with a lid, a deeper pot that the saucepan can fit onto (like a double boiler) and a very cute colander, plus 3 stainless utensils. I think the whole set was less than $15. There is a picture of it in my Christmas album; as you can see, they are a little bit bigger than they should be, but they are the closest I have found in scale. Everything seems to be for little girls, or for Barbie size dolls. Now if I could just find an AG size refrigerator...Lin

I've had good luck finding cast iron at the Cracker Barrel. I got a doll stove (too small for AG, but perfect for Anne Estelle).
Good luck on your hunt!

Thanks guys... guess I'll have to start carrying our dolls with us to the toy store to compare sizes lol.
We have a doll house store here but I'm afraid everything would be way to tiny, and *most* of the things at the toy stores are more child size *sigh*
I'll let you know what I find!

The old Wolverine fridge, stove, sink, washing machine, etc. are PERFECT for Ag dolls! There are many different styles and are not too high on ebay; they can be very expensive in flea markets. They are a painted light metal(maybe tin--idunno my metals!): very cute and retro! Ash.
